Privacy Policy
This policy describes the information Pay Charge handles, why we use it, and the choices available to account owners, team members, and payers.
Effective September 22, 2026
1. Information we collect
We collect account and profile details such as name, email, business name, phone number, address, authentication settings, and team permissions. We also process service activity, device and security information, support messages, and subscription records.
2. Merchant connections
When you connect a processor, we receive the credentials and configuration needed to make that connection work. Credentials are protected and used only to perform requests you authorize. You are responsible for maintaining your processor account and rotating credentials when necessary.
3. Payment and invoice data
We may store invoice details, customer name and email, amount, currency, description, status, processor reference, card brand, last four digits, timestamps, statement descriptor, and the team member who created the transaction. This supports payment records, invoices, exports, reporting, security, and support.
4. Card details
Full card numbers and security codes are entered into hosted fields supplied by the connected payment processor. They are not stored on Pay Charge servers. Your processor independently handles that information under its own privacy policy and security obligations.
5. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure accounts, connect processors, initiate requested payments, display transaction history, provide invoices and team controls, bill subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, communicate service notices, and comply with legal obligations.
6. How information is shared
We share information only as needed with connected payment processors, infrastructure and security providers, subscription billing providers, professional advisers, or authorities when legally required. We do not sell personal information. Processors receive the information required to complete the transaction you request.
7. Business users and customers
A business using Pay Charge controls the customer and transaction details it enters. If you paid a Pay Charge merchant and have a question about an invoice, payment, refund, or your information, contact that merchant first. We may assist where appropriate.
8. Retention
We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably needed for transaction records, security, dispute handling, legal compliance, and enforcement. Retention periods vary by data type and applicable requirements. Some records may remain after account closure where required or permitted by law.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and protected credential storage. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a strong password, enable optional authenticator-based two-factor authentication, and report suspected misuse promptly.
10. Your choices and rights
You may update profile information, change your password, manage team access, disconnect processors, and manage billing within your account. Depending on your location, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
11. International processing and children
Service providers may process information in countries other than yours, subject to appropriate protections where required. Pay Charge is intended for business users and is not directed to children.
12. Policy updates
We may update this policy when our practices, service, or legal obligations change. The effective date above will identify the latest version.
13. Privacy contact
Send privacy questions or requests to care@paycharge.app. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
